Ben was born in Fayetteville, NC, but raised in Greensboro, NC. He attended the Guildford County School system graduating from Page High School in 1996. He went on to attend Benedict College in Columbia, SC, where he was a student athlete. Ben graduated with a B.S. in Recreation in 2003. Ben is now attending Duke Divinity School in pursuit of a Master’s of Divinity.
Ben has always dedicated himself to serving people and the community. He worked in the City of Greensboro Parks & Recreation for seven years; as a Case Manager in Mental Health services; and as an educator for twelve years with the Guilford County School system.
For many years he volunteered as a coach with the Parks & Recreation, AAU basketball, and USSSA baseball. On the high school level, he coached varsity girls basketball for four years, boys/girls tennis for two years, and as an assistant softball coach for four years. Ben has always had a passion for working with youth and the community.
The passion for serving the community has led Ben to this new journey of financial services. He obtained his insurance license in July 2023 and joined the A Better Life Financial Group in August 2023. He is looking forward to the opportunity to offer financial strategies and solutions to individuals, families, and the community. Ben is licensed in North Carolina.
